Christian Denominations Made Easy
Robert M. Bowman Jr.
Rose, 2025
This book explains the important differences among Christian denominations while emphasizing that most of them also share important essential beliefs and values. Its information is as current as possible, based on careful evaluation of official sources from the denominations along with comparative studies by major research organizations. All of the major denominational families are covered: Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Anabaptist (Mennonite, Brethren), Anglican (Episcopal), Reformed (Presbyterian), Congregational, Baptist, Methodist (including the new Global Methodist Alliance), Churches of Christ, and Pentecostal. In addition, the book discusses mainline (generally more liberal) denominations, historically Black denominations, and nondenominational churches, as well as ecumenical organizations (both conservative and liberal). The book concludes with a glossary of terms and some recommended resources. Nice color illustrations and graphics appear throughout.
